I have an Inspiron 1525 that needs a keyboard connector replaced, the one on the motherboard, or the ribbon cable from the keyboard soldered directly on the pins of the keyboard connector located on the motherboard. Is this possible? Where would you get the parts?

That is a very common issue with the Inspiron 1525 especially when replacing the keyboard. There are 2 options for the repair, the 1st option is to buy a “bad” motherboard that has the latch attached and transfer it to your motherboard. Unfortunately we don’t have any bad motherboards available but you can usually find one on Ebay, just make sure to contact the seller first and make sure the motherboard you are buying has the latch. The 2nd option is to replace the motherboard. Soldering the cable to the connection is not an option, it would be incredibly difficult and the motherboard would more than likely be damaged beyond repair.

If you would like to replace the motherboard, we have them on our website, i will put the link below. If you need us to install the motherboard for you, we can do that for $50 plus the part.
