Google Glass has some serious competition. GlassUp is a team from Venice, Italy. Their smart glasses are powered by Android and operate in conjunction with your smartphone. You can do countless things with these glasses! From reading texts, getting directions, checking email, and viewing stocks and updates from your social networking sites. The only things it lacks is the photo taking option as well as using voice commands. There are two styles, sporty and classic, and currently on Indiegogo the pre-order price is only $299! With a delivery date scheduled to be February 2014.

Wouldn't you think having the worlds FIRST rear vision heads up display helmet would be awesome? Not just awesome. It could change your entire riding experience! The company Reevu, who has been making incredible helmets for years, has created what they call the Intelligent EYE helmet. WITH HUD technology to show information so gracefully in front of your eyes, and Multiple Reflective Optical Systems, where information you desire is shown! Such as GPS and navigation, bike diagnostics, even lap times and emergency warnings if oil pressure were to drop! Even more amazing, you are now able to see what is behind you, also without distraction! 

Every wondered why the ONE WEIRD TRICK videos exist? You know, those miracle this and thats! The trick of a tiny belly! The trick to rid you or your loved ones of diabetes! They are endless. Alex Kaufman from Slate.com wrote about his journey to actually click and listen just to figure out what the heck is going on here, as he wanted to figure out if there actually is something weird or consumers are just buying into BS. What did he find out? He found out why we click, buy and believe. Links brought up a videos where there are NO pause OR status bars, powerpoint style presentation began, and the narrator promised urged to continue to watch. Yet at the end you all you get is a hefty price tag for something that probably wont work? His findings conclude that it seems people tend to think something is important if its a secret. Psychological, isn't it? That's the internet and advertising for ya.
