Most of our orders are from repeat customers. Parts-People began as a small company 20 years ago in an extra bedroom of my house. I had saved a small sum of money to purchase some computer parts and began selling them on eBay. After a few months I realized that people needed a place to go for Dell parts so I began building our website. Since we are located in Austin, Texas, where Dell.com was founded, I was able to set up a solid supply line with Dell. From the start, we focused on customer satisfaction and selling quality parts. We have grown a lot since 2002 but still and always the customer will come first. Wearable gadgets. They sure are everywhere, huh? If every manufacturer doesn't try this then they are behind in their game, and that's the truth. Pebble, being the first (and still most successful) smart watch out there, started with a simple crowd funding campaign. Others, including Sony, Apple, and Samsung have done the same, yet without the same amount of praise. This time around we have LG. But don't get your hopes up too fast, for now I am allowed to simply label this as a rumor from The Korean Herald. But if it becomes a reality, it's alleged name will be dubbed as G Arch. Additional gossip of a health and fitness tracking wristband called G Health, most likely a rival against the Nike+ FuelBand, could get in the game as well.
We can expect to see the arrival in February for the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2014. But if you may recall, a possible “FuelBand-like” Smart Activity Tracker by LG was announced during this year's CES (Consumer Electronics Show). Both G-Arch and G Health will be companion devices to LG's upcoming G3, a phone gabbed to have 2K display and octa-core CPUs. No pricing or specifications are out yet (not surprisingly) but it is fact that these will be made compatible with LG, but as far as Android smartphones or even LG handsets running Android, we couldn't tell ya.
If LG were to utilize their flexible screen and battery technology, I see potential for this smartwatch. Considering consumers are so difficult to please, particularly in the wearable sector, LG better be careful regarding hardware and software. For example, you better not need your LG smartphone in your pocket for the watch to work. The only other tidbit of personal attention I am going to give to the entire idea to make the smart wearables is, do you really need to make them, LG? Smartwatches in particular, are losing popularity on a consistent basis. They were cool at first yet lost their flame soon thereafter. You know, when people realized everything happening on their wrist happens on their phone? If they didn’t make these guys I don't think many would complain, except for the competition. Any way for a company to have a one-up on another is a bad thing.
