Suitart’s Diamond Armor: A 3.2 Million Dollar Bulletproof Suit With Luxury, Style, and Tech

SuitArt1The most expensive suit in the world, eh? That’s what Suitart, a company from Zurich, is calling its new suit, Diamond Armor. As a company that designs and tailors custom suits for men, its latest sounds like it came right out of a James Bond, or Batman movie. Both films involve a main character who certainly lived his life wearing million-dollar suits. There is one thing that Diamond Armor has more in common with Batman, however, and it involves the body armor aspect. Besides being embedded with 880 black diamonds (over 140 carats) and 280 steel embedded black jacket buttons, the suit is also waterproof and bulletproof. Before you even ask; yes, as far as anyone can tell, this suit is the real-thing. It’s not a joke.

But why? Besides being on a movie set, or wearing it down the runway, why would such an outfit exist? We all know those Victoria’s Secret bras engulfed with diamonds are just for flaunting. Suitart is one of those companies, like Victoria’s Secret, that realized they could go all out and make the most luxurious of products. With the help of technology armor company Croshield, Suitarts latest achieves what manufacturers call a “Level II protection classification”.

SuitArtThis means anyone wearing this suit is protected from bullets fired from a handgun with 9mm pistols to .357 Magnums, all according to the National Institutes of Justice. What’s even more extravagant than wearing something bulletproof? How about wearing something with a personal cooling system inside of it if the going gets tough? That’s right! I mentioned the suit’s 880 black diamonds, water resistant quality, safety from Magnums, the built-to-your-own-body design, and the fairly advanced active cooling system. But guess what? An optional gold accessory puts a cherry on top. The suit comes with a silk tie woven from the first permanently 24-carat gold woven fabric in the world.

The coolest part of the bulletproof design is it’s virtually a secret. No one would ever realize that beneath your impeccable business exterior, you are moderately protected from any threat of espionage. In regards to its air-conditioning aspect, Suitart’s website claims "The integrated technology, which can be activated at the push of a button, allows for highest comfort by cooling the wearer down through the humidification of water." Additionally, its water-resistance is thanks to a nanotech process used to design the suits outer layer; a tactic which also happens to make it dirt resistant. So, for a low, low price of 3.2 million dollars, you could be a diamond encrusted, gold tie wearing, bullet and waterproof suited man. If that’s what you're into, of course.
