Eyefi Photo Storage Offers New Eyefi Cloud, Syncs Camera Images Anywhere in an Instant

EyeFiEyefi is a company known for providing Wi-Fi enabled photo storage cards for virtually any digital camera. The Eyefi Mobi SD memory cards start at about $45 dollars on Amazon, and have wowed users so far because of how simply it makes transferring pictures and video. Although it would seem like most digital cameras these days would incorporate Wi-Fi to alleviate the hassle of plugging in, importing, and deleting, many still don’t. That is the best thing about Eyefi Mobi. It performs these functions without having to purchase a Wi-Fi enabled digital camera. Even better, existing Mobi owners are in for a treat. The already popular Eyefi has now launched a brand new cloud service, Eyefi Cloud. With Eyefi Cloud, photos are automatically uploaded to the Web, then sync to the user’s smart devices.

EyeFi2Anyone who loves to take photos knows the facts. Although those special moments were taken in a snap, it is usually difficult to quickly access them after they are taken with a camera, diminishing viewing pleasure. Eyefi is handy and quick in skipping the steps of importing, waiting, and uploading. Additionally, using Eyefi means photos will be seen in higher quality than a smartphone, and the photo lover can decide which favorite device to view them on. The photos and video are also viewable via a browser! Users now get an updated Eyefi Mobi mobile app for iOS or Android gadgets. Simply insert the SD card into the camera, install the app, and wirelessly connect the camera to a chosen device by typing an SSID number that comes with the Mobi. This is done once per device. The Mobi card quickly transfers each image within milliseconds of it being taken. Then after being sent (automatically) to the Eyefi app, they are sent to the Eyefi Cloud to be organized and shared.

EyeFi1In either device or Cloud, the Eyefi images are compatible for editing and sharing. The Web app allows for viewing, tagging, splitting, merging, creating albums, and even downloading full-resolution photos. Private sharing is also available, whether it’s a single photo or a exclusive album to show to family or friends. There is a cost to utilize the Eyefi Cloud. For current Mobi card owners, the cloud service will run for $50 per year with unlimited photo storage. But for now, Eyefi is offering the something special for new card buyers. The Mobi SD cards retail for $49 for 8GB, $79 for 16GB, and $99 for 32GB. Each card comes with free Mobi apps for iOS or Android, plus a free 90-day trial of the Eyefi Cloud service.
