E74- War Kitteh, OM/One, Playstation Share Play, Swivel Cards |Red Headed Geek Show

A security expert named Gene Bransfield had an idea to make a device than can turn your outdoor pet into a Wi-Fi spy after hearing about a cat tracking collar. It's called War Kitteh. By fitting the kitty with a custom coded firmware, a Wi-Fi card, a miniature GPD module and a battery, he used the collar to sniff out insecure Wi-Fi sets around the neighborhood.

A new, fancy speaker system, called the OM/One, works with magnetic levitation to float one inch above its base, spinning. You can even take the sphere off the base and take it around with you. It'll still play music. And thanks to Bluetooth, you can sync it to your smartphone or tablet, make phone calls via built in microphone, or turn the music on and off.

SwivelCards have little built-in USBs made out of patented paper, and when folded a certain way, can literally be stuck in a USB port. This is a fantastic alternative to simply handing someone a card that they will only throw away.

Sony just announced that Sony Share Play will arrive this fall as part of the Playstation 4's 2.0 software update. It allows any PSN friend to hop into and play a game you have with out even owning it, as long as they are a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
