Installation and Removal Instructions

Slide the latches over and slide the battery out of the laptop.

Step 1

Press in the SD card in to eject it.

Step 2

Step 3

  • Remove the screw.
  • Press in to eject the latch.

Slide the optical drive out of the laptop.

Step 4

Slide the hard drive out of the laptop.

Step 5

  • Remove the hard drive screws.
  • Slide the hard drive out of the laptop.

Unplug & remove the CMOS battery.

  • Remove the LCD cable screws.
  • Unplug & loosen the cable

Unplug the DC jack cable.

  • Unplug the DC jack cable.

  • Remove the bottom hinge screws.

  • Loosen the 2 bottom screws.

Unsnap & remove the media cover.

  • Turn the laptop over.
  • Unsnap & remove the media cover.
Slide the keyboard up and remove the keyboard.

Step 20

  • Remove the screws.
  • Slide the keyboard up and remove the keyboard.

  • Unplug the palmrest cables.
  • Remove the screws.
  • Unsnap and remove the palmrest.

Remove the express card cage.
