Smart oven, MAID, is the smartest oven out there. Thanks to voice recognition, it gives you verbal instructions during the cooking process. Plus, the oven has automatic settings and will set the temperature for the specific dish you are making. Finally, not only can sync your smartphone or smartwatch to learn your eating and fitness habits, but can make suggestions for meals.

Amazon decided to compete with the likes of Siri by developing a Bluetooth speaker that doubles as a virtual personal assistant. Called Echo, you can activate the speaker by calling it whatever name you program it as. Then you can give Echo commands, make grocery lists, or buy music and other things off Amazon.

A Japanese company called Aerial Burton has created a display that makes moving 3D images in mid air using laser plasma technology. The images are created from an infrared pulse laser directed onto a 3D scanner. By ionizing molecules in very localized areas, the device is essentially producing pockets of plasma that give off energy as photons (Geek.com).

Also new this week is this flying defibrillator. Call this drone and use its built in defibrillator. It has instructions, a camera, microphone and speaker to call a paramedic!

Nimble VR has a Kickstarter campaign for its glove-less technology to feel in the virtual realm, A camera similar to the Xbox Kinect attaches to the Oculus and creates depth perception, tracking your hand and finger movements on the skeletal level.

Butterfly Network, a company creating a medical imaging device that could change the way we see the inside of the human body, has just raised $100 million dollars in funding for his three year-old startup.
