Nothing seems to put a dent in my holiday spirit like Christmas shopping. While the act of choosing a gift for someone I care about brings me pure, unadulterated joy, finding “that something special”, a unique idea for something they will enjoy, do not yet have, and would not likely buy for themselves fills me with anxiety. Add in the throngs of stressed-out shoppers all striving to accomplish the same task and you have all the necessary ingredients to be in full-on Grinch mode before the holidays even get here. To make this season a little easier, I’ve compiled a list of five easy stocking stuffers that are sure to satisfy the geek in almost anyone.

LIX 3D Pen

This amazing little gift idea is currently the smallest 3D printing pen in the world and allows you to literally “doodle in the air”. Whether you have a niece or nephew who is into design, a mom who loves arts and crafts or a co-worker you like more than the rest (who will hopefully let you play with it at work), the LIX 3D Pen is an all-around crowd pleaser. It was one of our favorite Kickstarter projects earlier in the year, and is now available for purchase for just under $100.

Sure, we all sing in the shower, but it’s a lot more enjoyable if your voice is at least partially drowned out by the song you’re poorly emulating. Google Chromecast

At only $35 and small enough to stuff into any stocking, the Chromecast is probably the cheapest and easiest way to upgrade a dumb TV to a smart one.
