Several PCs and laptops were announced by Lenovo at this year's CES. One of the coolest was an update to the high-end Windows ThinkPad X1 Carbon, which is on sale now. This is the third generation of the X1 Carbon, and although there's plenty of new concepts and a modern spin, Lenovo has retained a couple of its fan's favorite key aspects, including a more conventional keyboard and that sleek look we all love in a laptop.

The ThinkPad X1 kept it's look, still styling a black and square physique, with a carbon and glass-fiber reinforced plastic lid, and magnesium-aluminum alloy bottom (Ars Technica). Despite being slightly thicker, the X1 Carbon measures almost identically to the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro, with a 14-inch screen, and a weight of only 2.9 pounds. Worthy hardware updates include the addition of Intel's 5th gen processor, faster solid-state drives, and a brand new high resolution screen, measuring in at 2560 x 1440. It also features 4GB of DDR3L RAM, 128 GB of SSD, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11b/g/n/ac support, and “all-day” battery life (Extreme Tech).

The keyboard no longer sports a clickable trackpad. It has a redesigned layout, and a three-button clickpad (yes, this means Lenovo said goodbye to the old adaptive row of function buttons). Other new input methods, including a multitouch display, voice commands, and motion controls make for a modern feel to your favorite laptop.

Get this. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 retails for $1499. However, the company currently has the laptop on sale for $899.40. A new laptop with all of the technology upgrades you'd hope for, but traditional Carbon X1 to the core. Worth it!
