Installation and Removal Instructions

Slide the latches over to unlock the battery.

Step 1

Lift the battery out of the laptop.

Step 2

Slide the door down and remove the door.

Step 3

  • Remove the screws.

Slide the optical drive out of the laptop.

  • Remove the screw.

Remove the bottom keyboard screws.

Step 5

  • Remove the bottom keyboard screws.
Remove the CPU door.

Step 6

  • Remove the screws.

Unplug & loosen the wireless antenna cables.

Step 7

  • Unplug & loosen the wireless antenna cables.

Turn the laptop over and open it up.

Step 8

  • Remove the bottom palmrest screws.
  • Turn the laptop over and open it up.
Carefully pry up and unsnap the keyboard bezel.

Carefully lift the keyboard up.

Step 10

  • Remove the keyboard screws.

  • Unplug the keyboard cable.
  • Remove the keyboard.

Unplug the palmrest cables.

  • Remove the palmrest screws.

Unsnap & remove the palmrest starting on the left or right side.

  • Unsnap & remove the palmrest starting on the left or right side.

Loosen the plastic.

Step 14

  • Pull the antenna cables through the base.
  • Loosen the plastic.
  • Unplug & loosen the LCD cables.

Remove the right hinge screws.

Step 15

  • Remove the left hinge screws.
  • Remove the right hinge screws.
  • Remove the display assembly.

  • Unplug the cable.
  • Remove the screw.
