Installation and Removal Instructions

Remove the battery.

Step 1

  • Slide the latch over to unlock the battery.
  • Remove the battery.

Slide the door down.

Step 2

  • Remove the screws.
  • Slide the door down.
  • Remove the access door.

Slide the hard drive out of the laptop.

Step 3

  • Remove the screws.
  • Slide the hard drive out of the laptop.

Separate the clips & remove the memory.

Remove the screw.

Step 5

  • Unplug the antenna cables.
  • Remove the screw.
  • Remove the wireless card.

  • Unplug the antenna cables.
  • Remove the screw.
  • Remove the wireless card.

Unplug the CMOS battery cable.

Step 7

  • Unplug the CMOS battery cable.
Unsnap the & remove the bottom cover.

Step 8

  • Remove the screws.
  • Unsnap the & remove the bottom cover.

Unplug the fan cable.

Step 9

  • Remove the screws.
  • Unplug the fan cable.
  • Remove the heatsink & fan.

Lift the CPU straight up to remove the CPU.

Step 10

  • Turn the locking screws counterclockwise to unlock the CPU.
  • Lift the CPU straight up to remove the CPU.

Unplug the display cables.

Step 11

  • Unplug the DC jack cable.

Remove the bottom screws.

  • Remove the bottom keyboard screws.
  • Remove the bottom screws.
  • Turn the laptop over & open it up.

Carefully unsnap & remove the keyboard bezel.

Step 13

  • Carefully unsnap & remove the keyboard bezel.

Carefully lift the keyboard & turn it over.

Step 14

  • Remove the keyboard screws.

  • Unplug the keyboard cable.
  • Remove the keyboard.
