Installation and Removal Instructions

Remove the battery.

Step 1

  • Slide the latch over to unlock the battery.
  • Remove the battery.

Slide the door down.

Step 2

  • Remove the screws.
  • Slide the door down.
  • Remove the access door.

Slide the hard drive out of the laptop.

Step 3

  • Remove the screws.
  • Slide the hard drive out of the laptop.

Unplug the antenna cables.

Step 4

  • Unplug the antenna cables.

Unsnap the & remove the bottom cover.

Step 5

  • Remove the screws.
  • Unsnap the & remove the bottom cover.

Loosen the antenna cables.

Step 6

  • Unplug & loosen the DC jack cable.
  • Loosen the antenna cables.
  • Unplug & loosen the display cables.

Remove the LCD display assembly.

Step 7

  • Remove the hinge screws.
  • Remove the LCD display assembly.

Using a flat head screwdriver, carefully unsnap the top & bottom LCD bezel.

Step 8

  • Open the laptop.
  • Using a flat head screwdriver, carefully unsnap the top & bottom LCD bezel.

Turn the circuit board over.

Step 9

  • Remove the screws.
  • Turn the circuit board over.
  • Unplug the cable.
  • Remove the circuit board.

Turn the circuit board over.

Step 10

  • Remove the screws.
  • Turn the circuit board over.
  • Unplug the cable.
  • Remove the circuit board.

Lift & turn the screen over.

Step 11

  • Remove the screws.
  • Lift & turn the screen over.
  • Unplug & loosen the cables.
  • Remove the screen.

Loosen the hinge.

Step 12

  • Remove the hinge screws.
  • Loosen the hinge.
  • Unsnap & remove the hinge cover.

Feed the cables through and remove the hinge.

Step 13

  • Feed the cables through and remove the hinge.

Unplug the cable.

Step 14

  • Remove the screw.
  • Unplug the cable.
  • Remove the camera.

Remove the LCD digitizer camera cable.

Step 15

  • Remove the LCD cable.
  • Remove the LCD digitizer camera cable.
Remove the LCD digitizer camera cable.Remove the LCD cable.
The remaining piece is the LCD back cover.

Step 16

  • The remaining piece is the LCD back cover.
