Installation and Removal Instructions
Inspiron 15-7537 (P36F001) LCD Back Cover

Loosen the screws (2 x M2 x 8mm).

Step 1

  • Loosen the screws (2 x M2 x 8mm).
  • Loosen the captive screws (cannot be removed).
  • Remove the access door.

Remove the screws (3 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 2

  • Remove the screws (3 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Remove the battery.
Remove the screws (3 x M2.5 x 5mm).Remove the battery.
Remove the screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 3

  • Remove the screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Lift the hard drive out of the laptop.
  • Unplug the hard drive connector.
Remove the screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).Lift the hard drive out of the laptop.Unplug the hard drive connector.
Remove the bottom keyboard screw (1 x M2 x 4mm).

Step 4

  • Remove the bottom keyboard screw (1 x M2 x 4mm).
  • Remove the base assembly screws (5 x M2.5 x 5mm)(3 x M2.5x2.5mm).
  • Turn the laptop over and open it up.
Remove the bottom keyboard screw (1 x M2 x 4mm).Remove the base assembly screws (5 x M2.5 x 5mm)(3 x M2.5x2.5mm).Turn the laptop over and open it up.
Press the keyboard clips in and carefully turn the keyboard over.

Step 5

  • Press the keyboard clips in and carefully turn the keyboard over.
  • Unplug the keyboard cables.

Remove the palmrest screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).

Step 6

  • Remove the palmrest screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Close the laptop and turn it over.
Loosen the antenna cables.

Step 7

  • Loosen the antenna cables.
  • Remove the bottom base assembly.

Unplug the fan cable.

Step 8

  • Unplug the fan cable.
  • Loosen the heatsink screws (cannot be removed).
  • Remove the heatsink.

Unplug the display cables.

Step 9

  • Unplug the display cables.
  • Remove the hinge screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
  • Remove the display assembly.
Unplug the display cables.Remove the hinge screws (2 x M2.5 x 5mm).
Carefully pry and unsnap the hinge cover.

Step 10

  • Carefully pry and unsnap the hinge cover.

Remove the Middle Hinge Cover.

Step 11

Remove the Middle Hinge Cover.Remove the Middle Hinge Cover.
Pry up the edge of the digitizer.

Step 12

  • Pry up the edge of the digitizer.

Lift the digitizer & turn it over.

Step 13

Lift the digitizer & turn it over.Unplug the the digitizer cable.
Remove the 4 - M2 x 2mm screws.

Step 14

Remove the 4 - M2 x 2mm screws.Remove the 4 - M2 x 2mm screws.Remove the 4 - M2 x 2mm screws.Remove the 4 - M2 x 2mm screws.
Lift the screen and turn it over.

Step 15

  • Lift the screen and turn it over.
  • Unplug the cable.
  • Remove the LCD Screen.

Remove the LCD Cable.

Step 16

Remove the 2 - M2 x 4mm screws.

Step 17

Remove the 2 - M2 x 4mm screws.Remove the 4 - M2.5 x 2.5mm Wafer screws.Remove the 2 - M2 x 4mm screws.Remove the 2 - M2 x 4mm screws.
Remove the LCD Hinges.

Step 18

Remove the LCD Hinges.Remove the LCD Hinges.
The remaining piece is the LCD Back Cover.
